TV Antenna FAQ’s

What are the signs of bad/poor TV Signal?

Poor digital TV Signal can start to show itself as general fuzziness, leading to picture flashing off and on through to full signal dropout which cause the dreaded ‘no signal’ message on your screen.

How do I fix my Bad/Poor Digital TV Signal?

This is going to depend greatly on what is wrong with your TV Antenna system in the first place. Essentially, a professional technician will use a quality (very expensive!) digital RF (radio frequency) signal analysis meter. Depending on the signal readings given by the equipment, a properly trained technician can decipher what the problem(s) is with your TV Antenna system and come up with an appropriate solution. This could involve something as small as a simple connector, through to full system replacement of antenna, booster, power supply, cable, splitter, connections, TV points, wall plates and other required hardware.

A DIY customer can ‘have a go’ by using the process of elimination to find the source of the problem, this can often be costly in time, money and sanity!

What’s the best TV to Buy?

Play it safe and stick with well-known brands such as Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, LG, and Sharp. Many other brands are simply cheap, mass-produced rubbish. When you invest a little bit more into a quality TV, the performance and life-span speaks for itself. Remeber, cheap doesn't usually equal good!
